Everything looked good, she's still a girl , my placenta has moved away from my cervix some. It's about 2 cm away now instead of partially covering. They want to see if 5 cm away to do a vaginal birth, so it still needs to move more. I'm no longer on pelvic rest, so that's nice that I don't have to worry about being so careful with lifting things, exercise, etc. She said my blood pressure, weight gain, cervix, and uterus measurements are all right on track. I did my glucose test today and I'll get the results next week. I hope I pass the 1 hr and don't have to do the 3 hr!

Good to hear!
Sounds like your placenta has plenty of time to move, since it's already moving away!

I hope you passed too!

Glad your placenta is moving!! Hope u pass ur GD!!

Can I ask why your placenta was covering your cervix and why the drs were thinking no vaginal birth if it doesn't move?

Sometimes the placenta just implants close to the cervix, and can grow so it covers it... It's just random luck of the draw. The problem is that, when the cervix dilates to let the baby out, if the placenta is covering it there's a good chance it will end up tearing away and detaching, which is serious bad mojo. Placenta abruption, depending on how severe, can cause hemorrhaging, and also cause distress to the baby.

Yep, thanks for explaining that!

The docs want to see if at least 5 cm away to try for a vaginal delivery (with lower risk of abruption) but now that it's moved some, there is a very good chance it will move enough.
