Has anyone seen a Pick An Angel Tree this year?! I'm getting desperate bc I can't find one! We are a mixed faith household. To avoid the glutton of Chanukah and Christmas presents, my husband and I choose children from the Pick An Angel Tree each year and we donate 8 gifts (one for each night of Chanukah) to the cause. Most years Chanukah has fallen before Christmas so we wrap each gift on a night and then take them all on the last night to the donation site. This year Chanukah doesn't start until the 21st so we would need to send them ahead of time and just think about those children each night and pray for them. Anyway I can't find a Pick an Angel tree ANYWHERE. I really don't want to do toys for tots or anything like that bc it's more special when you're buying for a specific child and it allows us to pray for the child by name etc. Has anybody seen one or know where I can find one?!

They don't have one at your school? I remember they had one in the business department when I was in college...but I haven't seen one since, now that you mention it. You all aren't affiliated with a Temple or church? Or do you have any friends who are? Oh, one more may be a Children's hospital or a children's ward at a hospital maybe?

None at the school. I stay away from Churches bc neither of us are comfortable with organized Christianity (and Jewish temples don't do PAA). I'll look into the local children's hospital.

Me too its making me really sad that they aren't more visible. I wonder what is happening to all those kids who were on the tree.

I heard about this website where you can read through stories about specific people and give gifts for that specific person. They have different cities, but I'm not sure if there is one near you or not. Worth a shot!

Homelesspartners.com ~ Welcome ~ Just click on 'read a story and give a gift'.

I've seen them set up in a few of the local malls, of all places. Ours are generally organized by the Salvation Army around here too, so maybe you could contact them?

We had one at our church that was through a local tv station. We just brought our gift today. I think what you guys do is awesome, and the kids you pick are really lucky! I hope you find a tree near you.

The Kmart has it here. At my MOPS group each table had a kid so we bought some good gifts for him.
