Well the ultrasound to check my cervix was yesterday, but the tech didn't tell me anything at all so I had to wait til today to hear about it. I liked this tech so much more than at my 20 week though, she actually let us look at baby for a little bit rather than just rush around measuring everything. She also let DF record Aurora's heartbeat on his phone for a minute I need to get the audio safely onto my computer...
Today I had to do my glucose test. It sucked. I guess I spilled a bit of sugar into my urine afterwards at my appointment, to which I wanted to say "no freaking duh have you HAD to drink that crap!"
Aurora is measuring a little small, but when my doctor looked at the ultrasound measurements she didn't look that concerned about it. Up until last week she has always measured right on, so I'm slightly worried about it...
My cervix is 3.5cm which she said is normal, so that's good.
I failed the glucose test JUST barely. Cutoff is 135 and I was at 142. So I have to do the 3 hour I'm so not happy about it. She also said my white blood cell count was high, but that it could be cause I've been a little sick or from the steroid shots last week.
On the bright side, I must not be anemic woohoo!
Sheesh...I wish you had gotten better news. Yay for a long cervix though!
Oh, you know what...my doctor told me that the steroid shots could elevate your blood sugar for like a week, so I don't have to start pricking my finger again until Thursday. My levels were like yours, but they made me skip the three hour.
Ugh! I wish I had known that before! Since I was so close to the cutoff I bet that's what it was. I took the last shot 5 days ago...
Guess I'll just suffer through the 3 hours confident I'll pass. Everything has been perfectly fine up until this point with my pregnancy, and then the whole preterm labor thing happened so I keep thinking it's gonna go downhill from here
