What age do babies start rolling over? From back to side and then from back to tummy?

Tatum rolled from her back to her side. DH discovered it the other day and she did it 3 times in a row! I am SO not ready for that yet. Now I can't leave her on the ottoman where I change her diaper while I run to get a new outfit or more wipes or whatever. Although, I doubt she'd be able to roll on that since it's so cushy. She does better on a harder surface.

My little man has been rolling from back to side since day one, sigh. But I think each baby is quite different in terms of rolling. Can never be too careful, though, once they do start!

Merrik does that too. He's been doing that for a while now. I'd lay him to sleep on his back and find him on his side. Can't count on him to stay still while I run around

Mason has been doing that since he's been home from the hospital. I don't even think about moving an inch away from him while he's on my bed or couch.

Paige was rolling on her side in the hospital. I was amazed because I don't remember Keith or Summer doing that so early!

Kirianna can flip over but only on a surface that's skewed, like our bed while we're on it and it's not level.

Donavan's flipped himself over completely once. He's maybe gone from his stomach to his side once or twice, but like Kirin said, only when he was on my unlevel bed. Noelle didn't truly roll over until she was 4 months and then she went from back to stomach.

Eric didn't truly roll over until 3-4 months as well. Andrew has managed to flip himself a few times, but it's not true rolling over nor is it intentional - it's more that he flails until he has the momentum to go accidentally, certainly not pushing up on his arms high enough to do it.

The twins have flipped themselves over a few times if they're flailing and get their big ol' preemie heads going with enough momentum. Like Kel and Nia said, it's definitely not intentional yet.

Gavin rarely flails. My kids dont usually roll until 4m. It is all different for each child.

Gavin did manage to roll from tummy to side a couple times but I'm pretty sure it had to do with the surface he was on more than anything else

Jakob has gone back to side since about 1 week. It's how he likes to sleep
