Looks like I was wrong, someone did come up with a good award for a baby that pooped all over themselves in utero!

Anyone else have a meconium stained baby? If so, we'll have to find a way to quantify this one.

Andrew was a meconium baby - water broke green, and according to DH (I didn't have the pleasure of seeing it), he came out with "a little swirly poop hat."

When the doc broke my water at 10cm his eyes went huge and he just said "heavy mec" to the nurses. They started prepping for breathing support. He then pooped on the way out and there was a trail of meconium from the bed to the infant warming table. They alternated suction and oxygen for an hour until he could finally breathe properly. I didn't get to see or hold him for that hour.
