What are the chances of getting pregnant after getting your tubes tied? I read online that for 3 months after getting your tubes tied you should use some kind of birth control. I didn't know that til now and we haven't been using any. For the past few days I've felt nauseous just like I did when I got pregnant with Paige. I'm hoping it's just something I ate or all in my head. The chances can't be very high right?

Well, I haven't had one and don't know of anyone who has, but my thinking would be it would be a very low risk, unless they didn't do it right......

Sterilization by tubal ligation is effective right away, there is no need for another form of B/C. Tubal implants on the other hand require the use of B/C for 3 months after insertion to make sure that the scar tissue is fully blocking the tubes and that they are in place and that is verified by having a special xray done.

That's good to know. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid.
