Our little guy seems to have a serious diaper blowout every time he poops, which obviously is getting annoying. He poops so forcefully that poop always ends up coming out the legs and/or up his back. It doesn't just happen once in a while either, seems like it's every single time. We've tried a bunch of different diaper brands and no luck. Any suggestions?

How often does he poop? If he's a breastfed baby only going once every 3-7 days, that may just be par for the course, unfortunately. If it's more often than that, I'm not sure what to tell you. I do know some women have more luck with cloth diapers containing that kind of poop than disposables, if you haven't tried cloth yet.

We had blowout problems too and it seems to have subsided when we switched to a bigger size diaper.

He is breastfed and poops usually once a day. He is currently wearing size 1 diapers, which fit him well. The main issue is his legs aren't too chubby, so the diaper around his legs doesn't fit as tightly as it could.

Beauden has become a once a day pooper (I preferred the once a week but whatever lol) and they EXPLODE out. I watch for the signs of a poop and I have been undressing him and putting him on a changing pad so it's an easier cleanup. He has super obvious signs. Around his eyes get reddish and he starts making these mannish grunting sounds. And then within minutes we have our poopsplosion lol. So that's what we do I do agree with the above that moving up a size did help to contain a lot more of the poopsplosion.
