We had started transitioning to the nursery before we left for our trip. He would sleep his first stretch of the night in his crib and then we'd bed-share until morning. He'd get super fussy between 5-7 that it would keep us awake in bed so we decided to try putting him back in his crib. Right now, he's sleeping in his nursery all night, waking once to feed. When i need to take a nap, I bed-share during the day. I love that moment but I'm sleeping better and longer since he's in his nursery.
I'm glad the transition has worked out so well for you!! Because of our waterbed, we don't get to bed share, and even when I've laid down with him it hasn't worked well - we both need our space at night.
Mason has been in his crib in his room for over a month and he's doing great! He sleeps for 9-10 hours, wakes for a feeding and back to sleep for 4 more hours. Somedays he doesn't wake for the first feeding, he'll sleep straight through until 10-11.
Charlotte has been in her crib since 2 1/2 weeks old. She did about a week where she started the night in her crib and ended in the swing with me on the couch, but she sleeps in the crib all night now. I'm so glad we did the transition early. It made it super simple.

Mason will probably be in our bed forever since he doesn't seem to realize that he shouldn't still be waking up every 3-4 hours to eat at night.
He has recently (as in last week) started napping in his pack n play in our room though. It still makes me nervous having him nap in a different room.
