I'm feeling very sorry for myself today I was supposed to get together with my best friend on Saturday. She used to live 10 minutes away but then married a guy who can't live without his mommy and she moved over an hour away. We don't see each other much so I very much look forward to seeing her. She called this morning and said that she might not be able to get together because something is wrong with her husbands car and he needs hers to take their son to baseball. She has another friend down the street from her that she's gotten pretty close to. I have no other friends I try and try but the stay at home moms in my area are a bunch of snobs. I have never had trouble making friends until we moved here 7 years ago. I'm tired of the snotty people around here who think their crap doesn't stink.

Also, dh is getting his vasectomy on July 10th so I know we're definitely finished having kids but it was so hard packing up Mason's clothes today That isn't helping my mood either.

And my other baby is away with my parents and I miss him something awful.

I think I need to get Mason to bed and have a drink or two. It might help. Thanks for listening ladies. You guys are the only friends I have.

You guys are the only friends I have too.... isn't it both weird & wonderful? I will have a big glass of tea (b/c I don't drink) and pretend I am sitting in your kitchen with you... if you ever need an immediate friend text me... my # is on my fb.

You are always welcome to text me when you need someone to chat with too! I have a friend here - one. LOL. I left my social network back in Canada and never managed to establish one here outside of work...which, of course, went away when I quit working a few years back. So I totally feel you.

Thanks Kelly. I had friends at work too. Being a stay at home mom makes you feel pretty isolated.

so true... it's so hard to get all my kids out together by myself and all of my friends either have no kids or like 1.... so play dates and adult time went out the window 2 years ago when I became an insta-mom.... it's lonely....

I'm sorry you're down. Maybe one of your snobby neighbors will move and a nice one will move in... Never know! =) It's so hard to meet people as an adult because you never know who's a nut and who's normal. Hehe I never realized how isolating being a sahm was until I was forced to go back to work years ago. It really is...
