As background, he wanted me to work for him loading hay. I'm not sure if anyone's ever done this, but it consists of working outdoors lifting 50-60 pound bales onto a conveyor. Its a great workput! He wants to do about five hundred bales and with the bleeding I had and knowing of my m/c, I just don't want to do it.
So this morning I said "dad, I can't do hay for you"
He said "Why the hell not?"
"I'm pregnant! I'm not sure it would be good for me."
"Well then! Congratulations! No.... You'd better not do hay. You're not young anymore."
I just LOL when he said that. I'll have to remember it under the funny reactions! (I'm 29, so older than my mother when she had her kids but its not like I'm pushing 50!LOL)
I wish I could see what my daddy's reaction would be. When he was alive, nothing was more precious to him than his grand babies and that makes me sad sometimes that my DS was too young to really know him, my DD never even met him, and neither will this one. Though I am a JW so I fully believe I'll see him alive and healthy again! I make sure I take a lot of pics so he can see them grow up then!
