So today at girl scouts (we meet at DD's old school and I have a few friends who work there) I told my co-leader we were expecting. I figured she had already figured it out (she said she had thought so but was worried to ask). She has a little 2 year old so has offered to give us some of her stuff (she's sure she won't be having more, she has 3 girls from 2 - 15). Then I told my friend and she was so excited she jumped up to give me a hug and said she has to start shopping (especially since I told her it was a girl). I didn't get to see my other friend (teacher's meeting), but maybe next week. So I imagine the news will travel fast. The only other place to tell would be FB, and I don't see myself putting anything on there, but someone might 'out' me on there anyway.
I have loved telling everybody! I still have a couple distant family members to break the news to, but other than that everybody that knows has been so helpful and supportive!
I'm so happy to be out and proudly showing off my bump!
Last night before dinner and trick-or-looking we decided to go get a new comforter and when we were at check out the gal asked us what we were (none of us were in costume). Well DH wore dress pants, long sleeved dress shirt, tie and vest, I was in maternity pants with a nice top, and DD had on a Halloween shirt and her tiger hat. So DH points to my belly and says 'she's a baby making machine, I'm a room service supervisor (it's what he does), and she's a preteen who only dressed up her head'. The lady laughed and said 'oh I thought you were a magician, his assistant, and the tiger'. To funny.
Then while out trick-or-looking we ran into a friend from school and she tells me she heard some good news about me. News has started to travel. She was excited for me.
