Chloe is a little over a week old and literally poops like 10 times a day! I don't change her for just pee because she almost always pees when she poops. I don't remember if my boys were like this. Is this normal? Her dirty diapers are yellow and soft, occasionally greenish - typical breast milk poop.
Sounds normal to me. We go through at least 8 diapers a day (I change him before every feeding) plus the in between feeding poops. I remember with my older son that at it's peak we were easily going through 12 diapers a day!

I know from my previous babies I calculated needing 10 diapers per day for the early weeks, but Kate wasn't going through nearly that because she wasn't pooping that much, and I wasn't changing just for wet all that often. When we knew she was gaining well she still was only pooping once a day, but I figure now that was the formula clogging her up, because as soon as she started not taking much formula, over the last few days she's been pooping ALL the time, I was worried about dhiarrhea too. Glad to know it's normal!
Max poops constantly. Our routine is to change before every feeding and in between when I realize he's stinky. Though, I have to admit, occasionally when he's just been changed and I just fed him and he's asleep and I hear a little poop- I wait (not too long) to change him...otherwise he would never ever sleep!! Gah.
