Saturday was a horrible day for me. Baby blues really had me down. My family was down for the weekend and all I wanted to do was lay in bed and cry. Sunday was much better thankfully.
Today is going well too. I hope I am over the hump of baby blues.
*Thank you *Kiliki* for the beautiful siggy!
Pretty good weekend, Friday was DH bday and we had such a nice day, we went for brunch, than for a walk on the beach, went for icecream, just had a great time with our little family. Felt normal again! Saturday was kinda a girls day away for me in a way, away from DH and the older two anyway, I went to a swapmeet in the morning adn got SO many cute things!! DD1 grew out of the tiny things so quick I dont' have many and needed some more for Kate, who is growing well but is clearly going to be more petite than her sister. Then I went to a bridal shower inthe afternoon, came home and we all went to my parents for dinner. It was a nice day.. but I was super tired by the end of it and Kate wasn't too happy, I think overstimulated. Sunday DH let me sleep in a bit (well, he put a movie on for the kids ) and then we had church which was cute, they had cupcakes, and then brought all the kids in the service and gave them balloons to carry to the moms, so all these helium balloons were streaming out into the chairs, it was adorable. We went for lunch after and I got to nap and rest all afternoon. I do wish we had gotten the house cleaned up fully which is what I REALLy wanted for mothers day, the house to be clean! But we got part way there. and went back downhill during the day today.
A full, busy, fun weekend, but looking back I feel it was unproductive because we were gone so much nothing got done at home. I SO want to get caught up on housework, but I can't do it by myself, baby takes so much time. DH says we will spend time each evening cleaning up and hopefully be caught up by the end of next weekend. He needs me to be working too, if I stop to feed the baby.. he stops. But at least in those times we are both cleaning we get a lot done.
One great success was that this was the first time going out lots of places when I DIDN'T have to pack bottles!! Kate is off formula for good, and just breastfeeding! YAY, no more washing, boiling bottles, lugging them on every outing, worrying about warming them, etc. SO happy about that.
It was great! I got very spoiled this year! We spent the day together, went to a park, the beach then home to have pizza!!!
It carried onto Monday, it was my oldest daughters 12th birthday. My DH took the day off work and we went mini golfing and then out for dinner.
