So I managed to accidentally overdose on my short-acting insulin. And my blood sugar has been extremely low this past week to begin with. So I have to stay up until 2-4am, checking my sugar periodically and consuming large quantities of sugar as needed. And I've needed a lot of sugar, so I have been drinking soda and eating candy like a 12 year old. You'd think that would be fun, but I really just want to go to bed.

So - anybody else up late?

I know that pain, and hate it!! I hate when I wake up from a low sugar because it wipes me out for the whole next day. I have the same problem with high sugars too..I am afraid to go to sleep because it "might" keep going higher...uggh. Diabetes is no fun at all!! The hormones in your system will definitely be making it harder to adjust. Hang in there, they will start to stabalize.

Its horrible eating when your not even hungry.

Yeah, after truly gargantuan amounts of carbohydrates, I think I've stabilized. I should be able to go to bed soon, although I'll have to set my alarm and wakeup every 30-60 minutes to keep checking. But interrupted sleep is better than no sleep at all. Fortunately my boss is actually my uncle, so I can roll in to work late/not at all.
