My medical record will say G:5 P:4 A:1

I hate that. I don't think I ever want to see it in actual print.

It is the medical way of showing pregnancy. G is gravida, meaning how many times you have been pregnant, P is para the number of live births, A abortus the number of miscarriage/stillbirth/aboriton. Sometimes they put it with LC for living children.

I hate it though. I see it with my patients all the time since it is apart of the print out on all medical records where I work.

Yep, I'm 3/2/1 at this point.

I always hated filling out the "have there been any stillbirths in your family?" question on initial paperwork too.

Um, yes. My grandmother. My mother. Oh...yeah...me too.

I'd be 7/2/4 right now and am currently pregnant. Hopefully it will soon be 7/3/4

I'm 1/0/1 - how depressing. Hopefully I'll be 2/0/1 next week.
