If I see one more back to school commercial I am going to cry. I am never going to take Ethan to his first day of kindergarten. All the moms in the commercials are deliriously happy and blissfully naive. Even if I have living children, I will never be like them. There will always be a dark spot tucked away in a corner of my heart.

Rebecca, this is so very true. Lately, and I don't know why, but I can find meaning in just about any friggin' song on the radio that makes me think of Noah. It's so dumb, I'll be listening to some metal station on XM while on my way to work and even a stupid SONG TITLE will make me get teary-eyed.

I don't ever wish for the memory of being pregnant with Noah and Julia to go away, but I wish there was something---a pill, a liquid, SOMETHING---to make this hurt go away forever.

I want a filter - so that I can only remember the good parts of having Ethan, and not all the sadness.

Jamie is starting kindergarten monday and i have to work (high school starts at 7:30 and jamie's starts at 8:45). I found out 2 days ago from my mother-in-law that my mom is planning on picking jamie up from school that day (they talk on the phone about once per week). She was also planning on bringing him because he usually sleeps over there Sunday nights. Dh got the morning off and got their digital video dvd camera from work to take jamie to school his first day of kindergarten and I am heartbroken that I can't be there.

I was watching him sleep on the couch this afternoon and I just started sobbing because I have him to enjoy and *can* go to his first day of kindergarten...but i will never get that with joey. I feel like because of joey I should be there for jamie's first day! But I didn't think about it until too late this past week to request the day off.
