I know Laura was asking about this and I have been meaning to ask about it as well. What did everyone do for the first birthday? Has there been other stuff you've done on subsequent birthdays?

Julia received a party. Noah received a lot of tears. I just couldn't bring myself to "do" something for Noah for the 1st birthday / angelversary --- no cake, no balloons. I needed to set apart my sadness for losing Noah from my celebration of a precious life on this Earth for Julia.

My dear friend got Noah a star with the International Star Registry. That means so much to me. Perhaps next year I won't be as sad and will bring myself to do something special in rememberance of Noah

This year we'll be releasing balloons and the girls will help me bake a cake in his honor. That's what I've planned so far. I feel bad that DH isn't here. My mom will be here.
