So you guys all know that I have been spotting all week and have been pretty freaked out about it. I spoke to my doctors over the phone, and they weren't concerned, but I was. I have already lost one child, I don't want to lose another. I have an ultrasound scheduled Tuesday, but tonight I couldn't wait any longer. I HAD TO KNOW what was happening. I begged my OB to let me come to Labor and Delivery and get checked out, and she relented.

First the first good news: my cervix is closed. I'm not miscarrying, at least not today. I FEEL SO RELIEVED!!!

Second, the surpise good news: THERE ARE TWO SACS! That means, at this point, I am carrying TWINS!!! Woohoo! I know first hand that twins sometimes end up singletons (my mom had triplets that ended up just twins, my twin brothers), but we are really hoping we get to bring home both of these babies.

That was a lot of excitement for one night, I think I need to lay down!!!

Whew, I am glad things are looking up. Twins? Eeep, scary and exciting at the same time.

congratulations....let me know if you need any advice throughout your pregnancy. Twin pregnancies are a little different.

Take one step, one day at a time. That's all we can do, right?

WOOT! I am so glad you persisted on getting in for an ultrasound and got some reassurance that everything is ok and that you've got two babies growing in there. How exciting. I will be praying that everything continues to go well throughout your pregnancy.
