I'm so excited! This is my first dinner that I've been totally in charge of (there was one year where my mother had a bad fight with my dad the night before and when she got up the turkey was still frozen so she went back to bed and stayed there until dinner was done and I sort of had to step in. But I got to poke my head in her room and ask lots of questions so that doesn't count), so I'm a little nervous!

My favorites are stuffing and green bean casserole. Yummy!

I am not really sure...lol. I love Thanksgiving. Of course I was born on Thanksgiving, so it is somewhat special to me.

One of my favorite things is eating a leftover sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce a little gravy and a smidgen of mayo on either white bread or rye. That is my favorite Thanksgiving 'food'....mmm.

Are you kidding me?! It would be easier to ask me what ISN'T my favorite Thanksgiving food? LOL

Seriously though, I'd have to say the Cranberry Sausage stuffing I make is a 1st favorite followed very closely by Pumpkin Pie as a 2nd favorite. And I my OB cuz he gave me the "go-ahead" to relax a bit with the glucose meter on Thursday and enjoy Thanksgiving! WOO-HOO!!

Stuffing. Absolutely no question about it. I actually am not a huge fan of the turkey itself because I find turkey too dry and well I'm not a potato fan...although my mommy does make THE best mashed potatoes (the only ones I'll eat).

I'm Canadian, so we already celebrated our Thanksgiving in early October, so I'm very jealous of all of you who get to enjoy your stuffing this Thursday! We went to Dh's sister's house for Thanksgiving and just because she doesn't like stuffing, they didn't put it in the turkey. I was so peeved. They did this last year too! We had another dinner at my mom's house, but we didn't do the turkey, but I did make a box of stuffing on the side - but it's not nearly as good as when it's cooked in with the turkey.

Omigoodness, now I'm and

Bonnie, I'm happy to share! This recipe below makes quite a bit of it, so just scale back as necessary to accommodate the crowd you are making it for. It does, however, make for great leftovers so no worries if you make too much of it

* 3 boxes Stove Top Stuffing mix, prepared according to directions on box
* 3 lbs. of raw breakfast sausage (I think each 'roll' is 1 lb.; I used Owens Original / Regular Flavor)
* 1 can of beef broth
* 1 package dried cranberries
OPTIONAL -- slivered almonds, chopped celery, chopped onion, etc.
* 13 x 9 inch pan

* Preheat oven to 350'F
* Prepare the stuffing according to directions on box in a large pot; set aside
* Brown the breakfast sausage in a large pan (much like you would brown ground beef); drain grease; mix the browned sausage into the stuffing mixture
* Add can of beef broth to stuffing mixture, stir well
* Add package of dried cranberies to stuffing mixture, stir well
* Add any optional ingredients to stuffing mixture, stir well
* Place stuffing mixture into pan and bake uncovered in 350'F oven for about an hour or until the top of the stuffing mixture is nicely browned

You will not be disappointed. Since I've made this, I have gotten requests for this recipe and have continued to make it for office parties as well
