When are women going to understand pregnancy is a MEDICAL CONDITION?!!

Get your heads out of the sand and out of your butts and read up on things! Chances are, someone you know on JM is going to have a stillbirth! Will you be there to help? Or are you going to wish you'd had the information to share?

Funny...mommies come here to lurk, but some just don't learn, do they?

Funny how I've heard it said that pregnancy is a body function not a medical condition. Only...your other body functions (breathing, digesting, excreting) can't kill you or your children.

I wish I had been a little less ignorant.

you know what i htink is th efunniest thing? If any of those women in march have a stillbirth, you will welcome them with open arms regardless of what happened. Can they say the same about you?

I personally am one who believes that in most cases pregnancy is not a medical condition, it is something that my body was made to do and is a natural process. Now, that being said, you obviously need a midwife or an OB to keep an eye on things to make sure something that needs medical attention doesn't come up and you need to be diligent in doing what you can to make sure you and your baby are healthy.

The person I had in mind when I said what I did tried to tell me that labor and delivery aren't at all dangerous and it's perfectly natural and there were no risks to giving birth at home (after I told her it'd be a great experience but she needed to talk the risks over with her midwife and make sure she had a gameplan should anything happen...like did to my mother who nearly died once and would have had she not been AT the hospital)

I agree, your body was built to do it and most of the time it knows what it's doing, but you need to know that it CAN get dangerous and have a gameplan in place.

I agree, every woman should educate herself and not go in blindly. I'm a big advocate of that.

I was thinking about that. If she lost her baby tomorrow, we'd all welcome her and none of the drama would matter anymore. Nothing else matters when you've lost your baby.

No one in that ddc said kick counts weren't important though- but i Think talking about other members and ddc groups probably isn't the best thing to do... it just adds stress to everyone on the site who reads it or feels attacked...

No one on this site is stupid, I wish all the mothers to be and those who already have children all the best in the world, getting upset over something that others were offended by slightly shouldn't be on a support forum....

Yes everyone woman should educate themselves and we all do throughout our pregnancy because we want to know what to look for if something was to go wrong and what is supposed to be normal in a pregnancy.....

The March DDC is you have a baby born that month etc they will welcome you with open arms as well, any of the DDC's well. There are mothers on there who've also experiences stillbirths or delivered a dead child when not full term, so that's no the case there. I feel the need to defend because it's not fair to attack them. They never said that kick counts are something you shouldn't do, or be aware of....

Anyone on the site whose pregnant could deliver a still born sadly that may happen, but all mothers on this board will do what they can to not have that happen, just like those pregnant in this board will try too.. sometimes it can be stopped other times it cannot. But I think the talk should end... some tempers went, but it's over now... so time to move on and enjoy what we have.

Why do you keep posting here? Seriously... nothing you have to say is helping if you really want to "move on." I have not posted ONE thing in your DDC but I'm subjected to your posts here all night and day today. It's annoying. It is REALLY annoying to those we've just recently had to welcome to our board. No one wants to hear that it is rare when it happens to YOU. So just stop posting if you really want to move on. Go away and leave us alone.

Hi ladies, just wanted to pop in real quick. Please remember that the Stillbirth forum is a support forum for members who have experienced a stillbirth. Also, please remember that the due date clubs are support forums for women who are due in those specific months.
