OK, again I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Here is the booklet I made, if anyone is interested, its a pdf file. I am already working on a second draft, with things I missed and want to change. And if any of you want to print it and take a copy to your own hospital, I would be overjoyed. I have found my peace with Genevive's death by helping to educate medical personnel

Important tips for medical personnel in dealing with grieving parents.pdf

I am excited to announce that today I was contacted by the hospital and offered a position as a parent advocate for their bereavement program. It's monthly meetings in the nicu and they cover guidelines to improve palliative care, and develop guidelines and standards of care in the cases of terminal diagnoses in the nicu. It is such an exciting oppurtunity, I am giddy. I guess I did a good job the other day.

Like I said on FB I think you'll be fabulous. I'll have to look at the pamphlet on the other computer I think. Things like that tend not to work on the laptop.

I'm glad that they're utilizing the great resource you'll be.

I'm going to pass that on to my sister (a genetic counselor) and my OB.

You'll do a great job!

I read the booklet. It's wonderful.

I think the worst part of my entire experience was that I wasn't "pre-registered" so I had the registration lady in there asking me about my co-pay and insurance card and etc. Maybe you could mention to the hospitals that if it was an emergency they should wait or perhaps have a nurse that you are familiar with to come collect the information? I felt that she was intruding on my space and my son's time left in the room before I had to sign for him to be released to the funeral home...

It looks great jenny! But I also want to recommend the ACPCG Child Photography, children's portraits, children's photographer, child photographers, pre-mature infants, special needs children, American child photographers charity guild,* Erin Drallos, Footprints child photography, down syndrome, trisomy 21 they were able to come out for photos of Calypso (free of charge) when I couldn't find anyone from NILMDTS available. so you might put them in there too

Yeah the ACPCG runs just like the NILMDTS but don't have age limits. Any child under 18 years old and any baby over 15 weeks. And they seem to be in places where some of the NILMDTS people can't get to or aren't
