Yesterday just before bed I saw this post from my cousin:

"Sofia Grace stillborn today 7lbs2oz"

With a beautiful picture.

With tears in my eyes, I reread it.

Yeah, he's on the Hill side of my family.

It read: "Sofia Grace HILL born today 7lbs2oz." The baby was asleep, so you couldn't tell from the picture.

I hate that stillbirth is what comes into my mind first.

Yikes! That would have gotten me, too. I feel the same way whenever I see 'bad news' or 'sad news' posts in the forums. It is the first thing that comes to my mind.

This is a pretty accurate description of my reaction as well.

What gets me is that my first reaction to "we're pregnant" is "good luck"...
I never say congrats...it's always good luck....I HATE IT!!!!

yeah, Dawna, I think it. I can manage to not say it, but I always think it.

Or "if" instead of "when"

*sigh*

I do that, too. When pregnant women tell me they've found out the sex and are getting rid of any gender specific stuff from their previous children, or plan for vasectomies etc, I cringe inside. I want to warn them against it, but I know that it is so not my place and probably unnecessary anyway.

Our lives have totally changed. I get upset on forums, etc when I read "bad news" related to pregnancy and it's something like they'll have to have a c section or they didn't get shower gifts. "Bad news" to me is ...well....

(((hugs)))) I"m sorry, hon.
