My sister in law was due 2 weeks after me. After Kaydie died, it waas hard for me to be anywhere near her...I've only recently been able to just deal with it, and it's still hard. But I was SO hoping she wouldn't be early, she would go to her due date or past due, because I don't want to have to deal with him being born around my daughter's due date. Well, she's going to be having him in the next few days, and Kaydie's edd is on Friday. I can't deal with this. I don't know if I can handle him having the same birthday. I'm having such a hard time dealing with my daughter's edd, and I just can't have the happy feelings of my nephew being born. I don't want to celebrate his birthday every year knowing it should be my dd's birthday. It's hard enough having him close to the age she would have been...why does he have to be born on what should have been her birthday?

I am so sorry sweetie. I hope he ends up not coming on Friday but if he does, you will find the strength eventually to deal with it. Hugs to you.

I'm so sorry Alex. It is such a difficult thing! I can only offer you support, and don't beat yourself up about having these feelings. It is completely normal.

Thanks ladies. After a 36 hour labor she managed to make it 2 hours and 23 minutes past Kaydence's edd. It might sound bad that I'm thankful her labor was so long, but even though it's so close I'[m really glad he wasn't born on the 15th.

I can understand how that feels. Maybe he understood that and waited? You'll eventually be able to love him for your nephew instead of hurting that he's not Kaydie. That's what's happening with me and my best friend's daughter. I'm getting to the point where I love her as my "niece" instead of hurting for her being not-Cora.

Until then, take it at your own pace.

I'm glad to see that he made it past your due date hun. I know it's hard enough as it is.
