Sorry I haven't been around at all. I do read all the posts and occasionally respond when I have a chance. Max has been taking up a lot of my time. He cries A LOT. We have him on medicine for reflux and formula for colic. It's been rough for the past 7 weeks, but still very much worth it. I love this little man with all my heart.

I just want to send hugs to everyone and let you all know I'm still thinking about you ladies. :dothugs:

He is adorable! Have you thought about taking him to a chiropractor? That can help a lot with colic.

I've heard about this and was considering it. Do you have experience? What does the chiropractor do exactly? Did you see any results?

I've never had a baby go to the chiropractor that young, but both Erin and Patrick have been going to the chiropractor with me. With them he just does a gentle neck adjustment (it doesn't even look like he's doing anything really, but I can *hear* it sometimes). On days when Patrick fights it they use a little contraption that looks like a tuning fork with rubber ends that vibrates and relaxes the muscle. I don't know how it would differ for an infant, but Allison will be getting adjustments too.

Good luck! Erin was a screamer too, up until she was not quite 4 months old, but she didn't get anything for her reflux because her ped was an idiot (so glad we have a better doctor now!)

I actually don't have personal experience but I had friends who took their baby girl at just a week or so for the first time. They took their first (their son) at about 6 months old for the first time and it helped him so much that when they had their second, they took her right away. She is 8 months old now and has been to the chiro several times. It's really gentle.

Grant was, until recently, a reflux baby, if you ever want to vent, I'm here.
