Parents Sue Hospital After Stillborn Baby's Body Sent to Cleaners

Quote:
"How could this happen, that these parents lost their child, lost their son — then the hospital doesn't have a procedure or policy in place for dealing with it?" the couple's attorney John David Hart told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Dallas attorney Michael Stewart, who is representing Huguley, denied the allegations and said the hospital did nothing inappropriate.[/b]

WHAT? The hospital did nothing inappropriate??? Then how did that baby boy's body end up in the laundry???

I'm angry about this. I'm glad they're suing the hospital.

"Everyone feels bad about that".... Oh, that is so not good enough. I generally think people are too sue-happy but this is an exception. I hope they win big.

I generally think that people are too sue-happy too. But in cases like this, that's what the system EXISTS for, kwim?

"'Our sympathies go to a family obviously who had a stillborn situation. Everyone feels bad about that,' Stewart said, declining to release more information because of the pending litigation."

WHAT THE HELL?! A situation? That baby boy was a situation? The death of their son was situation? A tragedy, a horrible occurance, not a situation! I hope they shut that hospital DOWN... or at least fire everyone involved in this including the people who run the thing.

I wish I could send them a letter or something! As if losing their son isn't bad enough! Geeze. Last thing they need is the son's remains to be desecrated like that.

Poor woman, I just want to give her a hug, and kick a few people at that hospital!

I live in NC and the hospital gave me a Certificate of Birth. I really thought it was going to be a certificate of death, but boy was I wrong.
