We take the kids to a trick-or-treat night at our local high school the day before Halloween and then to my in-laws' neighborhood Halloween night. We live in a rural area so we can't really take them around here.
The boys don't dress up anymore. I bought a butterfly mask and wings that im going to wear..
DD 4- Ariel (again!)
I used to theme them, but now they all have their own opinions of what they want to be! They won't let me dress them alike anymore, either! ;(

my daughter is 19 months and this year will be a bumble bee
hubby n I not dressing up, although those prego shirts are cute!!
we plan on a few different events.
mall trick or treat, our ped office has a party every year, as well as my hometown hold an event downtown, they shut down main street and the kids trick or treat the local stores, one of them a photo shop that takes their pics
no door to door stuff yet
I'm thinking of going trick or treating. I'm going to make the skeleton shirt with the skeleton baby (cheaper than $20 for one time) and tell people I'm taking my kid trick or treating for the first time. Give me candy!
But other than that...probably no parties or anything fancy aside from the stuff we do for the kids at work.
My 3 yr old is going to be Rapunzel and I believe the twins are going to be a football player and a cheerleader. Their mom picks their costume and we have no say (although we will have joint custody by the end of the year so next Halloween will be a whole new ballgame). We don't dress up when TOTing but we are going to 3 Halloween parties and will need to dress up. I assume he will go as a Firefighter and I will go as a Nurse since we wear those costumes to work everyday and its easy and cheap. Lol.
I forgot a question. We will TOT on the 31st but there have been times when Halloween falls on like a Sunday and they will move it to another day ( We have a very large LDS/mormon population in AZ) OR they have moved it from a weekday to a weekend because kids have school the next day.

My Boys are going to be Flash & Superman. I don't dress them up the same theme on purpose. It's what they pick! Last year they were Darth Vader & Yoda. The year before that I did pick my youngest costume. They were Mario and Yoshi.
I'm going to have a skeleton shirt like Nel's but the baby skeleton is going to be wearing a cape and mask...to match with my boys. It's how I'm announcing my pregnancy to my family!
You'd be surprised. I know a lot of communities don't like doing it on Halloween, especially if it's on a weekday. ToT hours here are 6pm - 8pm. That is plenty of time for my kids to go out, we leave at 6 and we're usually back by 730 with 3 cranky boys who are tired.
