I don't have the picture here at work, but I'm not finding much online about the angle at which we saw the nub. The shot is the "chicken" shot, where you see the baby's butt and legs up (maybe it's also called the potty shot? unsure)
Anyway, can you tell anything from that angle, or does it have to be when the baby is lying flat?
There are those that say there is no way you can get an accurate potty shot at this stage but I have seen online and know a few people that were told at 13/14 weeks that they were having a boy and it turned out to be right. I suppose it largely depends on how the individual baby is developing...of course some babies might be farther ahead in that dept. so you can tell at 13/14 weeks.
The nub shot is supposed to be accurate at this gestation but I know someone who had a very "girl" nub (the tech even measured the angle) but ended up having a boy.
I guess at this stage nothing is guaranteed; at best you can predict the baby will be more in one direction than the other but you probably can't definitely say till later.
I've looked up a lot about this online in the last few days...it's kind of embarrassing I saw what looked like some very convincing boy parts at my 13 week scan so I have been trying to figure out how much I can trust that.
I would post it on ingender.com. The site has ultrasound techs that actually look at the pictures and give their educated guess...as well as regular members who give guesses.
I actually posted my ultrasound picture on there because someone said htere was a nub in my ultrasound..I didnt WANT there to be..I dont want any gender clues..and thankfully the ladies on htere assured me that there wasnt enough of a nub to even consider..whew!!
