Hello(: This is my 1st post under this username but I used to be active during my first pregnancy almost 10 years ago.

I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant with my 3rd and put in my information into the due date calendars, and it tells me that I am 4 1/2 weeks along, due May 3rd.

Here is what it says:
Your pregnancy begins at conception. (Sat, August 10th ,2013) Your due date is 266 days (38 weeks) later. (Sat, May 3rd ,2014) We will use the more popular numbering, starting 14 days before your conception. According to this, you are already 2 weeks pregnant at the time of conception, making your total pregnancy last 40 weeks, or 280 days.

Sooo.. Does this mean that I am probably really due 2 weeks later, around the 17th? I never knew that the "more popular numbering" started counting 2 weeks before conception...?? I know I will find all of this out when I see a dr. but I am just curious what you ladies thinks!

Congrats everyone, by the way. I am excited to get to know you!

Pregnancy weeks have always been counted as the 2 weeks before you really conceive . So the due date is correct if you input all the information about your cycle correct.

Thank you, I just read an article about it. I feel sooo weird saying I am 4 weeks pregnant when I am really only 2! I can't believe I never knew this before!

Because everyone ovulates at a different time during their cycle Dr.s dont go by how old the baby actually is because they dont know when you conceived. That means they count the week you had your period and on from there.

Im due on may 2nd & I am 4.5 weeks pregnant but the baby is only 2.5 weeks

Congrats on the new addition
