Most cold medicines are not okay to take during pregnancy... You should call your doctor to see what THEY feel is okay, because it differs from doctor to doctor. Personally, I don't take anything in the first trimester except vitamins. You could use a humidifier or vaporizer, vicks vapo rub, and plenty of orange juice. Cold medicines really only treat the symptoms and not the virus so it won't lessen the time you're sick either way.

I just got over a bad cold .. I took some Tylenol to help with pain and some antihistamine to clear up the fluids... I read they are both safe.
