This whole week has been miserable. Monday evening I started throwing up everything. I was unable to keep much liquid down the rest of the week. I finally went in for IV fluids yesterday. 2 full liters and I probably could've had a third. Thankfully it was at my husband's workplace's health center so I didn't have to pay the thousands of dollars an ER visit would've cost.

I'm on Zofran and now Reglan but the latter gave me horrific lower stomach cramps last night. I feel a little better this morning but I think I'm going to have to get a mild laxative for the backup of what little food I've had.

This time around has been much worse...and I'm not even 7 weeks!

Oh no that sounds miserable. I've been feeling awful but only threw up once so far...it's actually better than usual. Are you taking unisom? That's supposed to be better for the nausea than the Zofran. Does the Zofran stop the throwing up at least? I swear the Zofran never worked before but seems to be getting rid of most of the nausea this time but definitely is making me constipated and I've only taken it a couple times. So annoying. I hope you get some relief soon :/ HG is so so so depressing- I was in the ER twice with my first and throwing up 5 times a day with my second...this time I've been taking probiotics and I'm wondering if that's helping with the actual throwing up??

I was told to take Unisom but isn't that a sleep aid? I can't take it if it puts you out...I have a very active 2-year-old that would get into all sorts of mischief if I wasn't alert!

The Zofran backed me up a bit but I think all the water they pumped into me yesterday unlocked my bowels because I've been running for the toilet all afternoon. The nausea is still there but I think now that I'm hydrated its slightly easier to eat and keep it down. I really have to stay on top of the liquids though, which is hard because that's what makes me sick the fastest. I found out Sprite sits ok so I may try drinking that to keep liquids in. May not be the healthiest but its better than dehydrating!

I can't stand anything but water and soda right now so I'm with you. Take the unisom at night- it will help you sleep through the nausea if nothing else (I take it and have on and off for years and I don't find it addict ing and it doesn't make my sleep too deep- I can still wake up if I need to and I co sleep but have no problem knowing when the 5 year old sneaks in from her room etc). You start with half a dose- the one that is not the same ingredient as Benadryl is supposed to help more with nausea.
