I need some advice!

I ovulated on September 4th. I was expecting my period on Monday/Tuesday, September 16 or 17th. It didn't show so on Tuesday night I took a Clear Blue digital and got a "not pregnant"-which would have been 14dpo. On Wednesday morning (first pee), the next day, I took a FRHPT and got a faint pink line, but totally positive. That was 15dpo. I took another Clear Blue digital on Thursday morning (first pee) and got a "pregnant". That was 16 dpo.

I have been so excited and set up an appointment with my doctor, who I will not be going to anymore. So we went to see my doctor this afternoon which is 17 dpo and we did a urine test and he got a faint line. So he immediately said at one point I was pregnant but I might not be anymore? He told me to keep testing at home and watch the lines for the next week and come back in.

As you can guess, I am so sad. The doctor was so brash and rude and throwing the word miscarriage around like it was going out of style. He didn't offer a blood test or ask how much water I've had to drink or when the last time was that I peed.

In my head, Tuesday afternoon I got a negative and now Friday afternoon I got a faint positive so at least the hormone is rising.

What do you guys think? I obviously have all the symptoms but that is because I do have HGC in my system. He is just worried it isn't enough and the hormone is disappearing because of an early miscarriage.

Don't worry until you have something to worry about (yeah right I worry every day and I'm 8 weeks never having had a miscarriage before and feeling super nauseous). I'd say just wait a few days and take another test with fmu. Maybe call your GP and see if they'll do a blood test for you.

I don't know why doctors are so harsh. They really seem to not care when people are newly pregnant and concerned.

My best advice is to buy some cheapy tests and take on a day for, five days. When the line is nice and dark, go to the doc for an HCG and then get a repeat for 48 hours later.

Just think, by the time that is all done, you will be at almost six weeks and half way through the first trimester! I hope you can stick around and you have good luck with your tests. I'm sorry the dr was such a tool. ((Hugs))

I'd ignore him honestly. Some doctors are just stupid and probably got their licence out of a Cracker Jack box. The doctor that I went to see said I was 10 weeks, when from my last period I'm 8 at most. She through around abortion like crazy and told me to take a week or two to think about it. She asked if I had cramping and I said some mild ones (which is normal) and she started talking about miscarriage. Time for a new doctor for you! (And me).

I am going to try to get into a new place early next week. I will ask for bloodwork. My test at home tonight was pretty positive so I really just don't understand. Of course this had to happen on a Friday afternoon and now I have to struggle to not worry all weekend long. I'm taking a test every morning and comparing the lines. Crossing my fingers for darker lines.

Thanks guys.

Honestly, I'm surprised he saw you that early. I am the same dpo and my doctor won't see me untill my 8th week. Sorry you had to experience that though. Atleast you realized he was a jerk early so you can't find a new doctor.

Wow, I'm so sorry that happened and he has you so worried! There is NO WAY for him to know unless he were to take a blood test, and then another at least 48 hours later to see if your numbers are rising at the right rate. Obviously you have HCG in your system! I would definitely see about getting some blood tests and finding a new OB. Sometimes your primary care doctor can order those for you.
Also with the mild cramping. Everyone has mild cramps, it is your uterus stretching and growing. I would say don't get discouraged! There are some doctors and nurses who seem to have no compassion whatsoever. They need to find a different profession!

I responded to your other post, but just wanted to offer encouragement again. While my situation wasn't exactly the same, my doctor was basically like "You're only 4.5 weeks and I don't know why they scheduled you and you can still miscarry." Unreal.

Bugz seriously?! That is horrendously awful. Hope you've found a new one already.

Wow I am sorry he was so insensitive and condescending. I have never heard of such a thing before! On a positive note looks like he showed you who wont be delivering that baby! I bet you are being steered into better hands...I will pray for you. Hugs
