I am going to lose my mind shopping for a ball gown. I have to attend the 238th marine corps ball in 3 weeks. I don't have a dress yet. I will be just about 15-16 weeks I think by then. I can't find any dresses that don't make me look totally silly.

Should I wear something flowy or something fitted? I have a pretty good bump going already so I think by then it will be fairly obvious I'm pregnant. However I am on the bigger side so I don't want to just feel fat and uncomfortable. The flowy dresses I tried on mostly made me feel like I just look chunky. My bump isn't big enough to notice in a flowy dress so I felt like it just made me look round. I don't know what to do lol. I didn't try on any other dresses because I figured a fitted dress would look horrid. Now I'm not sure. What's more flattering?

I think fitted. We have our Marine Corps Ball in two weeks. This is the dress I got. I wanted it to be fitted so that I looked pregnant...not like I ate a foot long sub.

I vote for fitted then. Or maybe with something that has a high waist, cut right under your breasts?

I think more fitted with an empire waist. Celebrate the bump

I like fitted better. I know for myself I'm finding it much more flattering. I have big hips and a big butt so I know I find too flowy makes me look like crap.

I tried on a bunch of dresses today. I had to drive an hour and a half to the mall lol but I ended up finding a calvin klein dress that I LOVE. it's not fitted, but it looks really nice. It's this exact dress, except floor length. The material is really flattering. I wanted to rent a really pretty designer gown but I didn't want to risk it not fitting or looking crappy because it comes the day before the event when you use Rent the Runway.
