I had wanted to do a pregnancy journal, but never went to actually buy it. And then I thought about making my OWN and just having a scrapbook! You know, make it a little more personal for my bun. I don't have a color printer for pictures though so I'd have to kick it old school and use a disposable camera. Eek!
I kept a pregnancy journal with my first and have started for this child as well. I am planning on writing in them until they are 18 years old and then giving the books to them as graduation presents. I usually write about once a month or so.
I've checked out some of them at Barnes and Nobles and I think there's only one or two that I like.
I just realized that scrapbooking is an expensive hobby. The mom of an old friend of mine had an entire basement dedicated to scrapbooking. Yeah. Can't spend that kind of money.
So maybe I'll pick a journal and buy a couple things to add to it to help personalize it a little more.
I do like Lyndsey's idea of having a journal to write in once a month until they are older. Just a nice chronological record for them.
I thought about blogging since it would be easier to get the photos uploaded rather than printed or developed. But I would like something special for bun, too. I suppose they could always see the site later since technology is the future.
I have started up a private blog and add stuff about every week and put belly pics, ultrasounds and things like that in there. I also have some posts about whatever I might be feeling or thinking about at the time. I thought it might be nice to look at now and later.
