DD will be 27 months when this baby is due...would it be kind of pointless to get a double stroller? I figure I will be wearing the new baby on our walks for the first several months and DD has a lot of stamina as far as walking goes; at 20 months she can walk for an hour or so without getting tired. Something tells me that a double might only be used for a few short months...I'm leaning towards getting a stroller board that attaches to a single stroller for her to stand on instead. Strollers are so expensive here I would hate to invest in a double to use for a few months only to go back to using a single. What do you btdt moms think?

I got a sit and stand like 7 months ago. My youngest is 15 months old and the next one up is almost 5. I think it will come in handy for sometimes. But I think I'll be using my baby k'tan and an umbrella stroller for a while. Unless I can figure out how to safely put my toddler on my back in my mei tai and the baby in front in the ktan. Or since I will have 5 kids, never leave my house again. Lol

We also have a sit and stand, bought it when my middle son was 1 and my oldest was 4. I don't use it often, but may since we'll have 4, but my two middle boys would be in there, oldest would walk and then the baby will be worn.

I've heard a lot about the stroller boards, I know a girl in my Nov group uses one with her kids and loves it.

We have a sit and stand, got it when I had #3 and #2 was 28months. We used it a lot and still use it. I think it depends on what kinds of things you do and such. I use it shopping at outlets and amusement parks, quick trips to the store, and things like that. I much rather have the younger one ones contained, so it was a great investment for us.

That's the only thing I'm worried about...DD has great stamina but idk how she would do if I'm out with her by myself and she's not contained. Right now she always has to hold my hand but I wonder if she'll become more defiant.

I used my double stroller a ton for about 2 years, but mine were 3,18m and newborn. I wore the newborn and put the other girls in the stroller when I was out by myself and eventually the oldest walked and the other girls took over the stroller.

I don't have a sit and stand but it sounds like that might be a good option. Think about the places you typically go and how much walking is involved. We are on the go a lot to different sports and activities so it made sense for us.
