I met with my midwife for the first time today and LOVED her! She has been doing this 20 years. That's a long time for a naval hospital. She knew all my history from my previous two pregnancies which I was impressed by...usually I have to go over EVERYTHING!
Baby's heart beat was 160, no u/s...but I didn't expect it. We talked about my plans for a VBAC and she was so encouraging and adament about how great of a candidate I was for it. She said right now they are going to treat me as high risk until they can't find a reason not to. (I had Pre-E with my first and Placenta Previa with my second). So she sent me for more blood work and a kidney and liver function test. I also have to do a 24 hour urine collection starting tomorrow. Fun! But I am really glad they are on top of it.
I haven't gained any weight. I scheduled my anatomy scan for January 8th. I will be 21 weeks. My next appointment is Dec. 10th, unless they find something in my tests, then she will call me back in.
I also scheduled my elective gender scan. They said because of my small frame...they want me to come in at 14 weeks! If they can't tell, I'll go back a week later. So, in 14 days...I have my gender scan! I'll be 14w2d!
