So a few weeks ago I had an abscess come up under my arm that I had to take Bactrim for. Well 3 weeks later it has decided to return so I will be starting yet another dose of Bactrim. It really worries me for the baby but my doctor seems concerned that it has come up again and says if it shows up a third time we will have to "figure something out" So I am very worried. Anyone else had to take ABTS during a pregnancy? Was your baby okay?

No problem, it's one of the hardest things about being pregnant. We don't generally think of the concern about what we take (I know people do) until we realize the risk it could potentially have towards our unborn baby.

It's never silly to ask! I swear I was the question queen with my first. Honestly, this is my 4th and I still ask questions most would think I would know!

I took them this pregnancy for Group B Strep. I'm not too worried about it. I think your baby will be ok.

I had a very serious kidney infection during my first pregnancy and it was early on. I was in the hospital and on IV antibiotics for a while. He had all his fingers and toes and is a very healthy kid so far

I know what you mean! I am a NICU nurse and I feel like I'm pretty knowledgable about things but when it comes to myself and pregnancy I seem to lose all of that knowledge! Sometimes it's nice to hear other peoples experiences!

I think as pregnant women we are all entitled to worry about whatever we want no matter how many pregnancies we have had! Haha
