What are your tips? I had a coffee which normally makes little one wiggle like crazy. They wiggled the top half a bunch but the legs still stayed crossed. Hoping the baby has turned around too, they were facing my back. If baby still doesn't cooperate tonight, I get another free scan and you know I'll go as soon as they let me!!

I was going to say caffeine too...There probably isn't much you can do. Some people say sugar helps like drinking apple juice or orange juice but I haven't found that to do anything for me. I hope you get a good shot! I'm worried about the same thing for my appt. next Friday.

Orange juice 30 minutes before you go in and a lot of water...and I mean...a lot. Water helps to produce more amniotic fluid...which helps to move the baby around.

I second the orange juice (I did it with my last and I hate the stuff) and he showed what he was.

I've been told you want a full bladder on the day, but then I have never done that and I've seen what sex they were each time.

I'm actually going for an ultrasound Saturday and they told me not to worry about a full bladder but they did ask for me to drink and stay hydrated through the week..it helps with imaging and producing more amniotic fluid. They also asked me to drink a sweet drink or eat something sweet 30 mins before my appt..they suggesed pop/chocolate/orange juice.

That's exactly what I have always been told. Before my last gender scan...they had me drink 32 oz of water, every hour, for four hours before the scan. I could use the restroom as often as needed and they didn't want me to have a full bladder during the scan.

Ditto the above. I do caffeine and sugar 30 minutes before the appt and make sure I am well hydrated. Good luck!

I had 7 ultrasounds with my DD (for various reasons) and we never did find out. She always refused to co-operate. Plus after 20 weeks she'd kick the wand every time the tech touched my stomach. Shes still crazy stubborn haha.

omg I'm worried this is going to happen to me! I will be having lots more ultrasounds but with my luck he/she will not cooperate each time just because I'm so impatient and want to know so badly! haha

The night before I said out loud in the shower, "I hope you cooperate and make sure your legs are spread so we can see if you're a boy!" lol (was almost positive a boy). Right off the bat the legs were spread and we saw right away. I didn't eat or drink anything specific beforehand. He's gonna be a good boy who listens, hopefully.
