So for the past month I thought my son's allergies were getting bad because of something in our house. So we have been cleaning the house like crazy- especially changing out and deep cleaning in his room. We also were trying things at night, every single night he would have a humidifier, nose spray, chest rub, allergy meds. It was so bad, every night both DH and I were up with him because he has had terrible coughing spells from the drainage down his throat. (and that's why I'm up right now too- he just had a spell) We've even given away our guinea pig to a friend because we thought he might have been causing his allergies to spiral.

Anyway, finally we decided he might need an allergist to find other methods to help. I took him to the doctor yesterday and this whole time he's had a sinus infection! UGH! I feel so guilty! So now he's on a 10 day antibiotic. I'm hoping that the antibiotic quickly makes him feel better because the past 3 days he has woken up with his eyes all swollen shut. It's awful. and we're all moody and on edge because of the loss of sleep.

Thanks for reading. Maybe I should get back to bed because even though he's pretty sick, he'll still be up early!

Aw poor little guy and poor mama! Don't feel bad though; a lot of times allergy symptoms look similar to other respiratory illnesses. Hope he is on the mend!

Don't feel bad! We can't always know what exactly is triggering our children's sypmtoms! Some many things give the same symptoms! Hope he feels better soon!
