DH and I had (cheese) fondue with French bread after we put DD down for the night. DD had left overs from lunch.

Leftovers. Too many in the fridge to make more food.

I have had the worst craving for crock pot chili the last couple days So going to make some tomorrow!

I,m just whipping up some shephards pie and caesar salad. I realized today that I have 5 heads of lettuce in the fridge so salad every night! Which is okay. We eat a lot of it....

Tonight was a "yoyo" night. You're on your own! I do it every Saturday! I had homemade hummus topped with a homemade cilantro pesto, cucumbers, banana peppers, red onion and olives…I had it with pita chips! (That's what I had made for lunch). The girls had ramen noodles (bad mom) and the husband had a frozen pizza! Then I had a king size Payday. Totally negated my healthy dinner! ha ha!

Chicken kiev, mashed potato and veges tonight . After tonight, seeing as DH is a "kept man" for the next fortnight ( holidays/work is closed until after the new year and I go back to work tomorrow), I've delegated the role of housewife and dinner cooker to him!

Had more holiday food. BUT. I pretty much devoured the fruit bowl so there was a healthy aspect to it. And then after pigging out I was stupid and jumped on the scale.

But I'll probably warm up some more posole or eat the dressing stuff that was going with the fruit salad. I think it gets some healthy points since it's just yogurt and cool whip.

I am ashamed to say I haven't cooked a real meal since December 23rd. We have had leftovers from Christmas dinner, frozen pizza and take out. I am headed to the crackpot to throw something, ANYthing, in...maybe chili or just chicken breasts and rice. Something besides fast food and junk!

We were brave tonight, we went to the local Big Boy restaurant. I say brave because my older two are fine in restaurants, but my 3 year old is in this oh-so-not-so-lovely 3 year old stage. However, he was very well behaved at dinner. Few reminders of the indoor voice, but all in all, it was nice! Plus, affordable for 2 adults and 3 kids.
