I knew it was coming. I've gotten one every time I've met a new OB. Thankfully my next appt on the 2nd is the last OB I need to meet and then I'm sticking to my Dr.

Of course, he was nice about it. Gave me the "you're high risk" discussion, went into uterine rupture, heart beat measurement and how they'd determine off of that. Honestly, I'm not concerned. But you have 2 home births and go back to an OB, you expect to get the lectures. 4 down, 1 to go. He was nice. He talked about back in the hay day, him and the other male OB did a boat load amounts of VBAC's. That they're less common now. They're still a very VBAC friendly office. Just don't quite like the feeling I get during the lectures that I was careless, etc. I wasn't. I wouldn't have done it had I felt anything bad was going to happen. I still say that. If I'm feeling something is wrong, or if we can tell something is wrong, do what needs to be done to make everything okay.

I knew it was going to happen. Doesn't mean it doesn't bug me each time. I made an informed decision for myself, I explained why I had 2 babies at home. I didn't say if I could, I'd be doing it again, but I figure, I don't want a lecture on that either, haha.

My actual appt was good. I'm still measuring big, although he didn't tell me how big. Heard baby, he sounds great. Asked about movement, I explained that for him, he moves normally. He said that is good and you can't really compare it to other pregnancies (which this is my mellowest yet and I thought my first was mellow!) but to compare it to his normal movement.

I go back in 2 weeks, meet the last of the OB's in the office and get my last lecture Then, 2 weeks after that I have my next appt (making sure to schedule them all with my OB since I met the rest by then) and have a growth U/S. They want to check on the fibroid and make sure it's that that's making me measure a bit bigger and not baby.

All in all, it was a good appointment. I knew what I was walking into and took it like a champ. It's kinda fun to see how they all have their own way of telling me that they don't agree with it. But hey, to each their own!

Glad that you have another appointment out of the way. Sometimes they can be so opinionated. I've found that doctors in the same practice that I go to vary a great deal. I saw one yesterday for a routine visit and he told me that if my baby starts coming at 35 weeks, there wouldn't be anything they would do to stop her. A few months ago, another doctor talked about the chance of bed rest again until 36 weeks. That sounds contradicting to me. LOL Glad you only have the chance of one more lecture! The end is in sight

He told me that too! Except I was told 34 weeks! It took a lot in me to not let my jaw hit the floor. As of today, I graduate to the hospital I plan to deliver at, I won't have to go to the other one with the NICU unit. I told him, I'm not really worried about it right now though, my kids tend to go later and come faster. But when he said 34 weeks, I wanted to say "Really?! Seems too soon!"

Thankfully they all seem to be on the same page. I will find out for sure come delivery day. I'm hoping it'll be my OB though. I did like one other as much as my own though.

That is my least favorite part of pregnancy - the lectures. I feel like saying to each new person I meet that I KNOW whats high risk at this point....every dr before you has said the same thing and obviously if Im here it means Im being careful. Gah...specialists suck lol. Im excited that the rest of your appointment went well!
