I know there were a few of us nursing through this pregnancy, how is it going? are you still planning on tandem nursing?
I think I finally have a plan!!! We are obviously going to continue nursing until baby comes, and then I am giving DD 6 months of tandem time, and then will wean. I know to expect her nursing will pick up when baby comes, at least that is what "The adventures of tandem Nursing" book says. and most of the women in the FB group I am a part of. So I am hoping 6 months will be plenty of time for her to mellow back out. and then she will be 3 when we wean her.
Who know I may change my mind again!!! when I got pregnant I never thought I would nurse through pregnancy or even contemplate Tandem nursing lol!!
Yup still nursing and it's going some days are harder than others my son is 19 months so starting tantrums and tons of whining which includes whining to nurse so that is annoying but all in all I think we will be tandem nursing in a few weeks no plan after that tho just a see how it goes kind of deal I guess?? I'm feeling lost on it all since I'm having this weird I know I'm about to have a baby but it hasn't hit yet lol!!!
In the last couple of weeks my son is really nursing VERY little. Every night at bedtime he asks to nurse but then he's "all done" and back to reading books after about 5-10 seconds! He's even skipped his first-thing-in-the-morning session a few times, which until recently had been lasting 10-20 minutes or even longer most days. I suspect when he sees his sister nursing constantly and the milk returns he'll get interested again, but maybe only for the first several weeks or so? I'm not going to allow constant access for him--probably 2-3 times per day if he shows interest. I suspect he'll also be fully weaned by the time he's 3 in the fall. We will see! Sort of bittersweet that he needs me less, but I suppose convenient as well since I'm about to be needed a whole lot by another little one.
