Hey moms and moms to be,I have to share - Iread about this app today, call My babyscope in some magazine and i downloaded it and tried it out right away.
You basically use your iPhone as a doppler and listen to your baby's heartbeat. at first I was skeptical and sure enough, i couldn't hear a thing, but after following the instructions, I heard my own heartbeat and after a few tries I found the baby's heartbeat.
I can't start to describe how exited I was!! I called my DH right away and cried over the phone (did anyone say HORMONES?!), now I can't wait until he comes back from his friend so he can hear it too.
anyone else tried it?
YES!!! I have tried it!!
Last time someone posted a similar message in here, I was a sucker and downloaded the app for $4.99. I could never hear more than a bunch of gargle even after following the instructions...
ok. i feel stupid…. i just tried again and I got it too. Very loud and clear… I have MyBabyBeat. Weird but that was really cool. Stupid question, but can I count the beats per 10 seconds x 6….and that will be the heart rate??
I believe $5 is what I paid.. It is cool to hear the hb but I don't know if it was worth $5! Especially since most of us already hear them every 2 weeks at the dr. for "free." I guess if you didn't feel movement and wanted to check hb, it would totally be worth it!
Anyway yeah, my baby's beat [the free version] it just has to be really quiet and u smash it into ur belly and u can hear the heartbeat if u can find it, then it shuts off as asks u to buy the real version. Or ignore that, leave ur iPhone pressed hardcore into ur already sore belly and use another 30 seconds or something of free listening... Not worth buying, IMHO, but fun to try a few times for free.
