My DH gets 3 weeks of paid paternity leave. After that, other than our regular dogwalker, we don't have any plans. I too might get a housecleaner to come a few times. I'd like to just enjoy my time getting to know my baby girl.My parents live about 3 hours away, and might come for a few days after that (staying in a hotel, visiting during the day).
DH gets 3 months paid paternity leave. So basically, he will have more paid leave than I get! I'm just hoping I can drag out my recovery so I can take as much paid leave (up to 10 weeks full pay) for short term disabilty and then decide if I want to take the rest unpaid (12 weeks total). My job offers 6 weeks paid for vaginal deliveries and 8 weeks paid for c-section. I am eligible for more paid if doctor says so.I'll have friends and family visiting to help as well.
