How much higher is that than your normal b/p? If it is just a little elevated over your normal level and you aren't having any other concerning signs: headaches, vision disturbances, sudden swelling (face or hands especially), etc then I wouldn't stress too much. But you should definitely keep a close eye on it. She should have given you pretty strict instructions though on what to do if it keeps going up or you have any of the other pre-e signs.
If you have a blood pressure cuff at home I would just randomly check it...or if you don't some pharmacies have machines that will automatically measure you. I don't think 1 isolated high bp is much to worry about though, as long as you aren't having other symptoms like protein in the urine.
my midwife told me that as long as the number on the bottom is lower than 90 than everything is ok. 88 is getting close... Are they going to get you to monitor it at home? Did he tell you what to look out for symptoms wise?
