We finally made it home yesterday after 4 long days in the hospital.. Owen had a bit of a case of Jaundice and a bit too much weight loss, so they kept us a few extra days to insure he was improving. We are attempting breastfeeding and having to supplement with formula through a nursing system(a tube he sucks on as he gets my breast). Its awfully hard to do when im still just trying to get the hang of breastfeeding. But he had a check up today and he gained a oz since yesterday, up to 5lbs 10oz(his lowest weight was 5lbs 7oz) so i can cut back a few feedings of the formula and go back on Monday for another weight check..
Im struggling with my emotions, but i had expected i would. Hoping in the next week it gets easier... Here is a few pics of my little peanut, im so in love..(sorry so many pics, couldn't pic just one)
What a cutie! Ok, just gotta say that I LOVE the pic where he's sleeping with his arms above his head. I still do that sometimes. Not sure why, but there is something comforting about that position (of course, that's until I wake up with my arms fully asleep). I hope your able to feed how you want soon.
