I had my nst this morning and baby was very non-reactive again, same as friday and they measured one very brief decel of her heart. My contractions were holding steady every 4 minutes for about 2 minutes each....for the last two days. Ugh. And now they hurt like a b****. 100% back labor again.

Sent to my drs appt. Baby is measuring at 47 weeks and her head is very high and floating. His concern is that shes just too big to engage in my pelvis now. I had Ellie at 38 weeks. BARELY. So this LO might just have been in there too long for any attempt at a vaginal birth which is what Ive been worried about the last couple weeks. The long labor he says is thanks to my body trying really really hard to engage baby but just failing. 3 weeks ago I was 5 cms. Today after two days of labor I am 2 cms and too high to even do a sweep.

Hes also concerned about her movements slowing down. Technically she passed her nst fine today but for her its not normal to be this quiet so hes a bit concerned about that.

So Im waiting for the dr to phone back. Hes consulting with the high risk hospital an hour away and seeing what we're going to do. I think Ill probably be sent in today. Im so tired Im okay with that now. I just want it done!

Wow can't believe the ordeal you're going through and you're not even in labor yet! I hope you have a smooth induction but if not, I'll just emphasize again that in my experience a section is not nearly as bad as it's usually made out to be. I don't know if you remember but I was scared ****less before mine but it went so smoothly and I really have no regrets at all (I could have tried a breech vaginal birth or an ECV). The good news is you will have a baby soon! Which ever way she comes I hope she arrives safely and it's a good experience for you!

Sounds like a c section might be the best option for both of you. You've had a rough run, that's for sure! I can't wait to see how big your baby is. Think she might win biggest baby in the DDC! I know people say that the scans aren't all that accurate but when they do them regularly and they are consistent in their results I'm inclined to believe them.

I believe the scans too. Shes measured big since 24 weeks consistantly so I know she will be big...just how big I wonder? I think 10 1/2 lbs tops. But we shall see....hopefully soon. Waiting around for the dr to call is killing me!
