I had been asleep for about an hour on midnight on 10/18 when I woke up to and felt a small warm gush. I assumed it was my water. It was wet and watery but also slippery. I took a shower and called the dDr who told me to head in soon. I am also having light bleeding. Me and SO get to the hospital at 1 am, and I only had one small contraction on the way. I am about 3-4 cm but they don't tell me effacement. We decide to walk the halls to get things going. About 2. Hours later my contractions get closer together and more intense. I am about 5cm when iI get the epi. My doctor feels the water bag and says she's not sure my water broke-maybe it was just a lot of mucus? Lol I'm not sure, but doesn't matter now. So I start feeling the contractions and I have to call the anesthesiologist back three times. I start pushing about noon but babyis sunny side up and high so they let me labor down. I do that and they try some positions to get the baby to turn the right way and the dDr is concerned that I will need a c-section so I am freaking out and determined to push this baby out!So it only takes about. Pushes after that and he was out He came out face down. Dr said if he didn't turn he probably wouldn't have come out since he was so big--10 pounds 3 ounces!! He is nursing already and I will post pics when we get home. Thanks for all the well wishes ladies

Thanks And no, I didn't have any early signs, so when my Dr told me she was unsure as to whether it was my water leaking or just some mucous plug I was skeptical. A big coincidence that I had my first real contraction and cam 3-4 cm when I get to the hospital if that wasnt my water, but who knows.

Forgot to mention that when I got to 5cm and had the epi it had been awhile so I did consent to pitocin. My Dr is very hands-off and did not insist on it, but my so was very anxious and excited to meet josh and he had been spoiled by my last labor which was only six hours. So I agreed since I have not had a bad experience with it. They never had to up it from the first dosage so it worked well.
