Two years ago today I got the call from our primary nurse that Madison Ann was not doing well. A few minutes later she called back and told me to have Steve come home too. I called him at work. I had a Anxiety Attack, and forced myself to get McKenzie's stuff together to go to the hospital as soon as Steve arrived home to pick me up. I knew that it was going to be the day we said Goodbye. We had time with her. She had developed Pneumonia and was in Respitory failure. Her one lung had collapsed and the other was failing from being on a vent for so long. We made the decision to let her go in our arms. We said Goodbye at 8:12 pm with me and Steve and her identical twin sister McKenzie by her side. She fought a great fight against her CDH and being born 12 weeks premature. She defied all the odds and was the toughest person I have ever known. We will forever love and miss her. We are spending the day as a family remembering her. We are taking Kenzie to the Childrens Museum and out for lunch. We are releasing balloons in her honor.
