The nurse just called, she talked to my Dr. he said I could come in 1 week from today but he wanted to be sure that I knew they might not be able to see anything yet. I will be out of town 2 weeks from today so made an appt for 11/7 at 4 p.m. - I'll be just 1 day away from being 7 weeks. I would love to go in for an earlier ultrasound but I think I may be more freaked out if they can't see anything yet. It's probably best for me to go in later.

As far as the spotting he said this could have just been implantation bleeding. Looking back at my calendar it started at 2 weeks 6 (8 DPO) days and ended at 4 weeks (just about 1 week). Seems a little long to be implantation bleeding but what do I know.

If I wouldn't have taken a test early and just waited until I missed my period I might not be so freaked out right now. I can't take it back though so I'll just cross my fingers the spotting stays away and I don't have any other issues.

I had some spotting and bad cramps.....went in for an ultrasound and they couldn't see anything. That was yesterday and based on my lmp I would have been 5 weeks 5 days. Totally wished I would have waited to have a scan, now I am even more freaked out! I hate waiting.

I totally get it... try not to freak out too much, it might just be way too early for you.

Amy - did they do a regular ultrasound or a transvaginal? I was just reading and it says that seeing a baby at 5 weeks 6 days is very rare even with transvaginal ultrasounds.

I hope the appt goes well! I saw the sac and fetal pole at 5w5d with my son and a week later his heart was beating

She did both. I will feel better when I get the numbers back from my blood draw yesterday. Praying and hoping for good news for both of us!

I hope all goes well with your spotting situation! I had brown spotting since the 10th that is just now stopping, same issue as when I was last pregnant. Keep us posted on how your appt goes!

I think it's good that they were up front with you so you know what to possibly expect. The last thing a worried mama needs is to have the doctor not be upfront with them.
