When do you go in to the doctor? I feel like I'm being such a baby about this, but I can't keep anything down and haven't in days. I feel like I'm constantly throwing up. I'm dizzy and light headed and crampy and feel terrible all over.

That said, I know I'm pregnant and some of this is to be expected. I hate costing my family the money to go in somewhere only to have them say "sorry, this is just par for the course" and send me on my way. I just feel like I should suck it up, but I'm also worried that something will happen to baby if this keeps up.

So...when would you try to make an appointment or go to urgent care?

It sounds like you are dehydrated. I would honestly just go in to be on the safe side. Plus you could have that severe form of m/s... Either way if you havent been able to keep anything down, then you probably will need fluids. I hope you feel better soon!!!!

Thanks I called and left a message with the nurse. The answering machine said it could take 2 hours to get a return call, so I'm glad I called. I figure if I change my mind and don't want to go in, I can always just tell them I'd prefer not to.

Glad you called. It's never your job to try and figure out if you should go in. If it's serious, the doctors will want to see you. If it's not, they will give you some ideas of what to do over the phone. I'm a huge believer in "when in doubt, call".

I hope you get some answers soon and you start feeling better!!!!!!!!

glad you called. not being able to keep anything down over the course of some days sounds pretty severe to me. I hope they'll be able to offer you some help.

Calling is the best thing. My doctor over the phone was able to get a prescription for anti nausea meds in for me. I still ended up needing fluids though so be prepared for that. Also, unisom at night could help.

If you haven't eaten in days, go in. Even when I puke, and feel nauseated I can still keep a little something down later on. Keep us posted!

They called back when I was picking Max up, haha. I did finally get to talk to a nurse, and she told me they weren't able to give me any medical advice since I haven't had my first appointment yet (it's the 14th).

I'm sure I can keep down a TBSP of water, so it sounds like I'll be okay I keep eating with the assumption that even if I do throw up, something is staying down. I'm sure I'm just being a nervous nelly and it's all fine!

Oh wow, that sounds brutal with not being able to keep anything down. It would seem that they would at least send you some anti nausea meds! I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Oh, I'm sorry Amy. I can't believe they won't move your appointment up so they can see you with regards to this. I hope you start to feel better soon!

Ugh that sounds miserable! I am super nauseous and feel like crap but I am not throwing up. That would be the worst! I hope that you are able to hold out until your appointment. Have you tried vitamin B6 and/or B12? I just got B6 yesterday for nausea but I heard that B12 works for the vomiting. Hugs!
